Hey guys. Been having this intermittent problem for about a week now. While pumping either debit of concrete just stops. The pump lit on the panel is still on, cylinders still moving, stube still shifting but no concrete coming out. Sometimes after a few seconds it restarts on its own, sometimes it takes up to a minute. Anyone know what the cause of this is and where to look? I'm not sure if it's related but about a month ago I had to change a pump on pump off fuse as it blew while pumping. Pump is 2.5 years old, other then this haven't had any problems with her Thanks |

had the same problem with an old putzmeister some 20 years ago. at that time the exchanger was broken. the old putzmeister had an exchanger button in the watertank of the cilinders and the little plate which had to click on the button was bended. so it was allways the same cilinder that went up and down in the lines. these days the exchanger is inside the command-block maybe one of the valves is dirty and doesn't command the exchange? maybe you schould try to make the pump work manualy to see if the exchanger works? in the picture you can see on arrow 1 how to suck back and arrows 2 to pump. |

I am confused if the s-tube is stimm moving AND the cylinders are moving it might be in reverse???? Is it posiable the reverse switch is shorting and you think you are in forward but realy are reversed, if both systems are cycling it is most likley timing issue

Travelteck has the answer if nother is coming out and it stroking and shifting then it in reverse. |

A little update to my problem. Brought it to my local Putz dealer, they changed 2 coils. While diagnosing, another pump on pump off fuse blew. While pumping regular amperage is around 4.1-4.2 but when the problem occurs the amperage spikes to 6.x. Cylinders don't move when this happens, but the pump restarts by itself. The pump light stays on, and it restarts by itself. I'm about to pump a small job, hopefully this problem is solved! |

At your 4.X and at 6.X amps what reading(s) is the m8 hydraulic test point giving you? We had same problem on an older type Putzmeister we ended up replacing the chopper amplifier and the push over hydraulic valve and the problem was solved. |

Just a quick follow up. This customer has been working with the dealer and myself, the problem seams to have been the K238.1 relay, the issue was the drive cylinders would continue to stroke and the s-tube would stop on one side and not shift electricaly. This is a Tomkatt style system with a cycle valve for the Drive cylinders and the s-tube , it has 2 , K238 relays one for eack valve, and no M8 pressure reading, He did once blow a fuse so he is checking the coils for resistance with heat. So far so good. Thanks for the input thought you would like to hear the result so far. |

These are similar to the valves he has. |
