I run a new light weight putz 47 roll z when they got delivered I asked the question if its better to lock the stages together or leave them loose to allow movement while pumping. I was told by the rep to lock the stages together what's the feeling out there about restricting boom movement

Z or A frame will work, most customers tell me this type of boom will run smoother in the pattern you display in the pics.

What is in the pictures is ok, I am concerned about the Term “Locked Together” it is not good to have the boom arms so tight that they are hitting each other during pumping, close like in the pics is ok but tight is not good.

I would never keep them all together while pumping.. Who told you that was a good idea??

When we first got them we had a putz rep come to answer any questions that was one that I asked

When I close 2nd and 3rd on a 4z boom it will not be completely steady in to eachother. They will be ''banging'' on every stroke.

I would listen to Traveltech. He knows better than the guy that build and designed the pump himself Wink
