We have been using putz' s stop stick and it really really works well. No oiler is needed. My operators are really happy with it.  You guys should give it a look!!!

Are you using the spray cans or bulk? How long does it last, cost effective or what?

I am going to putz this week for a training school I was going to bring back a gallon to try. Seems like spray cans would be to expensive, how much is a can also to do think you can get as good of coverage compared to a regular pump can?  Thanks Terry from WI.

Right now we are just using the spray cans. We got a few cases to try out, so far we are real happy with it, you get good coverage, and it really makes clean up a snap. the only neg, that we are seeing right now is that on dark paint it is leaving a little bit of film on the paint, but it wipes right off.

If you can please let them know you heard about it on this web site. I would really like to get them back as a sponsor someday.

Thanks.

I got some of this product to try and must say I am not pleased with it.  Yes it does work, though it turns everything white by leaving a film on it.  It is also way too expensive and I would much rather use hydraulic oil than this to keep costs down.

The price is really the only draw back, but I bet it is cheaper than 5.00a gallon hyd oil. And the dumping ticket u put your self at risk for.

The link through the Putz website lists it for $53.00 a gallon, considerably more than hydraulic oil, but perhaps discounts are available?  Where I'm from (NJ) I, in six years of pumping have never been confronted about using hydraulic oil in my hopper, or on the outside of it, though whenever I've been on streets or "high profile" type jobs i've been respectful and not oiled the exterior.  What types of rules and regulations are there throughout other parts of the country and even in NJ that I am not aware of regarding oiling the hopper?

We are trying to phase out our operators using oils that are not eco-friendly. We have not got a fine yet and we would like to keep it that way. If you buy in bulk you can get that price down in a hurry, also we are probally going to be selling it out of our office, and i know for a fact we will blow that price out of the water. Hopefully we will be set up with that soon.

Either way all of us have to pass the "additional costs" onto the customer.  If I have to move to another location to wash/clean out.  I put an "estimated time" for my job finished and return to shop times.  That way if I am a washing out couple blocks around the corner, and I am waiting on someone else to washout, or if I have a problem washing out my boss doesn't eat the loss...

oh, I just use diesel in my hopper.  Light coat and I don't put it in until just before the hopper gets filled.  That way it don't drip all over the ground.

IF PUTZ BECOMES A SPONSER OF THIS WEBSITE WE WILL START BUYING THEIR PRODUCT!!!!  COME ON PUTZ, GET ON BOARD.
