Quirks in pump

I have a 1998 36 Putmeister. If you do not shut the remote off before taking it out of PTO. It will blow a fuse and you cannot get the RPM,S up. Something to do with the cruse control. They say it is common for the model. Has anyone else found quirks with certain models of pumps?

On a Mack there is a contact block under the doghouse with 4 to 6 diodes (an electrical check valve that allows the current to flow in only one direction, ie. no back feeding)  for the interface b/t the pump controler and the cruise control.  If blown fuses are the problem I would look there 1st.  When you locate the block, the diodes should be either gray or black in color with a series of small stripes. You should check them with an ohm meter from both directions, it is possible that the bad ones look discolored.  They are readily availible at radio shack and very inexpensive.
