I would appreciate all advice. It seemed to run fine, just struggled to find the"happy spot" regarding boom bounce. I could only maintain 75 yph average. I messed around with the volume and rpm's plus boom positioning. The mud was fairly consistent at a 6"to 7" slump. Am i missing something?I really don't like looking a dumba#@, and work really hard to be very smooth. |

I suspect that the 'happy spot' has as much to do with the set-up as the pump speed. Some machines need more hanging weight than others, some need a slight tilt to the working side, some won't pump over the side wirth a damn at all. You will get it dialed in. ;~) |

i run a 58 sx with 5 inch pipe all the way no reduced pipe like the 61 the reduction in pipe causes a kinda bounce all by its self ive run a 61 and had the same problem takes a little getting used to it took half the pour to find the sweete spot were with my 58 its reall easy to find usually run it around 1450 1500 rpms and stroke around 61/2 7 with a 5 to 4 hose usually runs really smooth when the boom getts weighted down also like bob said if im booming of the side i try to jack the side im booming off of a little higher than normal otherwise youll see the oposit side outriggers lifting helping to create more bounce its all about you and your set up good luck be safe |

hi weave.....i run a 63/5 putz...i find that if i run with eoc and set to number 4 it's sweet as...but also if i crank it up to 6 it bounce's for a couple of strokes then settle's down..and it has a lot to do with the concrete if it's quite wet then you have no problems... |

we did a pour in jackson miss. with a 60 and a 65 concord 5 stage and a 61 schwing. i was running the 65m and was standing with the operator of the 61. he was having the same problem that you are talking about. i asked him if he was set up exactly level and he said yes. on my 65 i set the pump up 2 to 3 degrees to the rear to pin the ass to the ground and it gets rid of alot of bounce even out to the side. i told him this and he went up and did it and it got rid of some of it but he still had that hose whip and slight bounce at high volume. my thought is 4 stages at that length of boom causes alot of flex in the boom. |
