Someone here trying to learn as much as i can about my job as a whole. Can anyone here break this ticket down and help me become a better operator. From a job this morning. Other than a 5 sack 3/8 mix. What is there to this. Thank you |

That's only half of the ticket. The column on the left is the materials used. The one in the middle is the mix design that lists how many "pounds(lbs)" of each material is required for every one(1) cubic yard batched. The column on the right lists batch wieghts required for this 11 yd. load to comply with the design. The next two columns not shown will list "Actual" weights that were loaded into this load, and the other lists "tare" weights and material moisture content. For example if the sand and agg. being used are saturated with water less water will be used to batch the load and the allowable water will drop. It's alot like cooking and the ticket is the recipe that says how much of what is needed and how much was actually used. I am not sure what the abreviations stand for exactly in the material column but they are additives of some kind most likely a water reducer and/or winter heat of some sort. |

The ticket gives you the weights and materials used. Sand, 3/8" rock, t-1 11 is the cement, Fly ash amount, WRA is water reducer, and hot water. By the way this mud is not an easy pump mud. 1725 lb of pea rock is too much it packs. For larger 3/4" rock it works, but with 3/8" reverse the 1385 sand and 1725 rock. And it'll pump even through 2". |

total cementious is 6.33 so it would be a six sack mix and called a 3500 lb spec because of the high rock content. it would also be a considered a exposed rock mix. if it where the 1385 rock mix it would be perfit for a small line, i can do that with 1/2'' through my ball pump but not 3/8'' i have to back it off to 1300 lb. when plants only spec a PSI they are hiding that they are selling you a load of rock. line guys should allway check the ticket before you load the hopper. |

eugene you are pretty close if mine mixs stay around 1300 lbs of 1/2 inch screen rock 175 lbs of flyash, 565 ibs of cement, and 1644 lbs ofsand then I can pump very dry or wet,I run a 5/45 with all 2 1/2 inch hose. |

oops on the 3/8'' i had to go 1200 lb cuz i could not get the 1300 lb through the ball pump. one guys 1/2'' is a large 3/8 and the other guys 1/2 is what ever passes the screen so you can get some suprises. |
