I work for a ready mix company that also rents a concrete pump. I was just wondering what concrete pump operators think of ready mix outfits that offer concrete pumping services.

I know a ready mix company that owns a pump and a conveyor and have heard from more than one contractor and other ready mix companies that if the pump hasa problem they are quick to blame the competitors concrete for the plugs or the fact that they used too small system on a job, and tell the contractor that they wont pump for them unless they use their mud, which in turn has meant more work for us.

This is just my opionion on rm companys renting pumps. Some instances or most ,maybe all, RM companies can give pumps away for next to nothing screwing other pump companys who dont have rm to back them up it really hurts competition for other outfits and always seems for all or most pump companys money is tight and cant compete with that
