High Rise Construction in New York City with a REED C90S Concrete Pump. 530 feet + of line pumping through mostly 5" slickline - 50 horizontal at bottom- 220 feet vertical, then 50 feet horizontal- then 60 plus feet vertical - then 150 horizontal (reducing to a 4" rubber hose for placement). The C90S was achieving approximately 48 cubic yards an hour pumping lightweight concrete (10 inch slump) at that height. Thanks Freddy Almeida for the video!! Mike Newcomb |

from this video, it seems that they're pumping at about 2300 psi hydraulic pressure - and on the REED C90S model, on the high pressure setting, that works out to about 750 psi concrete pressure |

Yes, normally they would have a diversion valve to send the concrete back to the truck or a washout area. On this particular jobsite, they just backed it up, let it go to a cleanup area (big box for the concrete), then the guys careted it out, then cleaned it up... Yes, dirty...a lot of concrete, but that's how they did it, Also - I heard two more things.,..they're now up to the 28th floor - AND, they didn't reduce to 4 inch rubber, as I had assumed in the earlier post - sorry about that! - Mike Newcomb |

I have pumped over 500 feet many times alway through 2 inch rubber up,down, flat.angled or a combination of all. I use rubber only and yes you have to bring your A game all the time or it will bite youin the ass everytime. My line records are 300 Feet 1.5 inch line concrete 900 Feet 2 inch line concrete 1200 Feet 2 inch and 1.5 inch line grout all jobs all rubber except for steel reducers at the pump. The worst part about long line is not the clean out that is the easy part it is the set up and tear down |
