Bob the mixers are probably buildt like lowriders.... ;-)

But this is a new pump , but no aircuff or airvalve ?

I had been sent home if I came to a buildingsite without one.....

Vasa,

We live in a country that has a separate economy for concrete pumpers. One condition of operating within that special economy is that we do no more than is absolutely required for our customers.

But we sure have the best paint jobs.

I can not help but wonder if, during these hard economic times what would happen if some small pump company, like our friend SEED decided to change the rules. What if he were to show up on his jobs with an air cuff and a vibrator, and lights on his tip for the placing crew.

I have no idea as to the outcome. He would be (1) a hero that everyone wanted to use and paid a few $$$ more for the privilege. (2) All his competition would copy his improvements and under-bid him once again. (3) The prices would rise due to the fact that the pump companies would make the contractors realize how big a labor saver they were and were given part of the savings as a rate increase. I just don’t know.

Or is this something that the pump manufacturer should be doing???

Putz deliver with aircuff if you order it , yes it will cost some Usd .

But when the contractors see how nice it works and less spill of concrete around the buildingplace without to have kink the hose they will order just THAT pump for the next jobb ! I was the one of the first pump in our area with an aircuff and I had more job than my colleauges...(13 years ago)

We dont charge something fore the aircuff , it is cheaper to have one than get to pay for cleaning after the pour . But for the vibb we have a charge...

Mighty big "Test pour". Good job REED. Did you use a back-up pump?

Hey Bob,

Yep, there was another boom pumping the mat at the same time that would've been able to pick up the slack should anything have happened...but thankfully that new 39 has been pumping like a champ - no problems! It has now been on about 6 or 7 jobs and is currently pumping for some of our customers up in Canada.

Also...yes - that is the same new 39 meter that we were advertising a while back for $315k (truck and startup included).

Have a nice day Bob.

Speedy,

The one mounted as a boom pipe looked very manageable.
