Not sure but one just sold at auction today(Northeast MD) at a Richie bros auction.I spade whiteman trailer pump with those twin deutz monsters.I had some good pic's,one of the instrument panel.I will give them there due,you could put trash cans, used datsuns, stop lights in the hopper and it probably would go thru.Well if the hydralics didn't overheat.

I first learned to pump on a whiteman boom pump. The original Z boom LOL. we had three cooling fan add ons to the hydraulic system and that sucker still overheated in the summer.Used to have the cable over one shoulder running the pump with the toggle switches one handed and the water hose in the other spraying down the hydraulic tank and cylinders. Could never suck a sponge back by itself either. Had to blow it back with the pump in reverse and and air coupling on the tip. Dangerous times. We have come a long way witht he modern technology on pumps now.

Russ, true story. My 1st time in Houston I took A 87' whiteman out.Now we all know down there not much is small, well someone before me backed into something and bent the slide shafts on right side.Well not only a brutal day but my 1st dose of concrete burns to feet.Every time I see whiteman I think of that day

you have to look a ways back in the posts for my best whiteman story--however in summary--the boom I was running had an electrical fire while I was on a 2nd story with the cord fully extended. Hairy but funny now!!

My hairy Whiteman story was running a P110 with a jib,off the left side about 20 feet below grade with both pumps engaged ! Nothing I did would keep the right side outriggers on the ground! Then I moved around to pour a wall where I needed a 25'3" hose to reach!Well I followed the mains 30 degree rule ,but when I got to the right front outrigger the bitch went over backward!! I had gotten "Z"ed too far carrying that 3" hose, and she went to the stops! I never trusted that pump again!! For you younguns the Whiteman had a gravity down main cylinder(like a hydraulic crane) that could and would fall over backwards because there was no hydraulic back pressure to push it down! Open the main stack valve in a 2&3 over center position and gravity's hydraulic pressure would keep it open, allowing the boom to fall over backwards! Empty the boom and you could get it back over! Whiteman didnt trust their own cylinders construction,so they didnt want you to run it at full extension

I ran one for a long time. If I was going to pour close to the pump the first thing I did was make sure the main was all the way up. The old holding valves were sorry as can be and you needed to keep hitting the main up to make sure that when you went over center to the rear it did not do that RIGHT NOW main up trick. It was an adventure for sure ;~)

Bob your right,I forgot about that.Oh joy!!.I too had been flat boomed out of level, moving side to side.Solution, drop boom far enough and crew pushed.Bob,remember Monty?.One arm and he could hang with the best.

P110's with aluminum tip sections and jibs did.Ours did and were filled with sand at first, later with a combo of sand and lead. 85's didn't,but also most 85's were on 3 axle Ford trucks with tags, meaning you were gonna get stuck at least once a week! Its amazing what you can remember after 20 years!I guess its like riding a bike! I could probably go out and run one tomorrow,if you made me do it!
