Remember that one of the benefits of a slow down or a snow is that you can spend more time with your family. If you have kids they get a little bit more of dad. Get to know them again or in a different way. Do something with them that they love to do even if its as simple as playing cars or barbies with them. A slow down or a snow in is also a good time to give your wife more attention. Make sure you know what her love language is and work on that for a while. My wife’s love languages is acts of service so she gets her feet rubbed and if I do a load of laundry or vacuum she thinks I am the greatest guy in the world.

Slow downs always hurt but one way or another you can make the best of it and the relationships you have can come out on top. Or drinking more beer, kicking the dog and yelling at the wife and kids, its up to you.

I took a volantary layoff for january. i actually get to take my oldest to school and pick him up!.He's 6. then i have a 5 ,3 and 1 year old that i get to spend the day's with . The honey do list is huge ,(but at least it's work)LOL.
