When we replace our rock valves they all get hardfaced.

we rotate our rockvalves every year , when their on the bench we hardface them to rebuild them , but you have to heat them up before you hardface and let them slowly very slowly cool down , we have a pit of sand where we bury them to cool down

Just replaced one because of hardfaceing mechanic started on one side and didnt stop untill he done hole thing warped all to hell.
