I heard from a former co-worker that another former co-worker/manager fell to his death while working on a boom  somewhere around the Cedar Rapids Iowa. I heard this all the way in Oregon.

Story has it that he was on the boom, slipped, hit his head on the cradle then to the ground. I would like confirmation of this and then needs to be addressed at safety meetings and then on this web site.

I pray its not true.

Hey Scott he was actually in Nebraska. Harold spoke to him Friday. I talked to Harold yesterday and should of had him try and call him. I am pretty sure it's true tho but hope it's not.

I was told today that the rumor is true.

Ya it's sad. He was a good friend and was happy to be close to his kids again. He will be missed by alot of people.

U were right Scott it was Iowa. Todd he was a member of this site and his member name on here was Kansas. What happened was he was helping load a pump onto a lowboy. The truck had been destroyed in a fire a few months back and they had removed the truck from the pump. He was on a ladder about 10 feet and fell. The other guys didn't see what happened. They just came around the corner and found him.
