how many of you run a wad of newspaper in the hose by the reducer befor you prime and do you think its a good idea

It is a good idea when you are pumping down hill so as not to loose your prime.

it really does work good in any situation my boss does it all the time on the peagravel pump and the whole summer he hasnt plugged on the prime at all . it is one thing i will always do when i start my pumping career in a year or so. ive learned so much and thers still more to learn so what kind of pump do you run

he uses that stuff to but only when hes got a lot of hose out. what size pump do you run

just mix portland cement and prime slow w/ 5 gallons of water in front cept when going downhill then speed it up alot till you get tothe end the slow it back down to keep it safe at the end of the hose. heard that plastic sacs  work well on a downhill prime soon to find out. slick pac suks
