k so just been doing some winter fixing and just trying to get this truck rite so the swing tube. swings left no problem nice and square flush on the cutting plate. k so swing the tube to the right and it seems to swing short of the barrel. it needs to be adjusted to swing more to the right side more. so if there is shims on the driver side and no shims on the pass side removing the shims on the driver side would it make that tube swing right more??? |

k so we put a new cutting deck in and a new cutting ring and it shifts fast. the hyd accumulator is full charge. the shifting rams are hitting the stops. so the dead ram is closed completly hitting the stop on it so the tube wont shift any farther. its only out by a few degress the one way. its a 2005 putz zboom enterprize edition

you are off one spline or your s tube splines are worn out. |

if shift cylinders are completing shifts and its not covering the cylinder , first try loosening the nut it may be too tight , if that doesnt remedy the problem , with a pump of that age , it is very possible the s tube splines are worn out , or you are one spline off , this is a very common mistake. |

The shift cylinders are seated in bushing cups on both ends which are made of some type of hard plastic, and they could be wore out and,or,there could be grease behind the bushings preventing the s-tube from shifting completly. It takes just a minute to take off the shift cylinders and check the condition of the bushings. |

if you would be off a spline, it would shift on one side too far and the other side not long enough - apparently that's not the case; is the "good side" complelety centered? if the spline is worn out, it would shift short on both sides |
