Recently we visited long time customers Independent Concrete Pumping in Wakefield, MA and found their new S20 all over the busy streets and freeways of Boston. Independent owner, Jim Toothaker loves small booms for their high utilization in urban areas. “Everywhere a boom pump can’t go… is where our customers need them,” Jim says. He has three Schwing 17-meters and recently purchased a 4-section S20 with a 12’8” outrigger spread. He puts it to work on residential, bridgework and commercial projects. It also doubles as a line pump with a 180-degree rotating outlet when you want to bypass the boom and pump off the passenger side of the chassis. The fold down sideboard provides generous storage for system and clamps. Look for an upcoming story in CONCRETE PUMPING Magazine on this innovative Double Z boom with 270-degree tip section. |
