Hi Guys,This is my Idea and I hope to hear what you guys think, I have been running pumps and own my own small line pump company and truly believe there is a need for the guard and should be on all machines which the elbow faces the concrete truck driver while feeding the hopperin seven years in the line pump business I have had this happen twice and know of 3 drivers badly hurt on other pumps not to mention elbows over houses blowing and even on the elbow above the guy running the hose on booms. This is a dangerous piece which is hardest hit when making the turn either strait from the hopper or right above your head I also have a shut off switch so when it does blow it makes the sweep on the guard and hit a paddle switch and shuts the machine down instantly Thanks for your input and a special thanks too Todd. This could be done much nicer a little rough but I have been running this one on my machine and the drivers love itThis message was edited by Ron on 3-2-06 @ 8:17 AM |

Its welded to the clamp its stainless and is as easy as clamping the elbow and plugging the switch to the pigtail |

Im all for invention for safetys sake but this is why we check our equipment daily! we can shrowd our whole pump in Safety seal but why not check our elbows every week or so? |

I think that the elbow shield idea is slick. Way simple and functional. Lots of luck with your venture. |
