Safety magazine?

Just recieved my copy of Concrete Pumping from the ACPA.The picture on page 30 worries me, it shows an operator running a pump while hanging onto the hose on top of a wall. Is this the type of picture a safety magazine should be showing? I know some companies do it but it is an extremely unsafe procedure.

It looks more like he is pumping a stem using basement wall panels.

Actually it is a large basement for what appears to be an apartment building(there is another pic on page 29)

The pic on page 30 is a stem pour. The pic of page 29 is a wall pour, the panels are 10 ft tall. While its not the safest to stand on the wall, its how it is done buy almost all basement companies. There is no need for me to stand on the wall when i pour, there are 6 guys on the crew, iam only there to pump. From reading the articile it sounds like the pump operator is also the hose man.

We discussed the same thing when we received the magazine. there are too many things that could go wrong there, With the owner of my company being one of the board members of the ACPA, I would definitely lose my job for doing that, not that I would do it anyway, just my .02
