Looks good - who knows?

Don't forget the slits in the bottom.

Kris, When you make the slices in the bottom do you make them so that they are, when expanded, the same as the ID of the hose?

secure just above the cable ring w/tape (notice were the ring is beneath the cone how it bulgges slightly) secure at the end of the cone were the velcro is

Right on, I think it'll work for lots of different pours, like grouting pre-cast vault lids! Those are hard enough even with a 3" whip.

I'm just curous on one thing. How well does it hold up? It seems like alot of work for one or two jobs.Or does it last longer. It seems like a good idea if it last for a while.

Thanks Ruck

pretty cool, but in my opinion concrete finishers are gonna get concrete on them I dont see any real dangers in this device but if something happens they will be the first to file a law suit just because we are trying to keep them clean, in my opinion its a waste of valuable time proper ppe and a tyvek suit pour it out discard the tyvek when done

I tried the cone. It was sweet on prime and then blew off into the wall. I like the concept. I was thinking about it today. Would you get the same affect by cutting the slits in the end of a dead end hose? " The octopus " Just a thought.

Bob,

I make the slits so that I've got a diameter of 100 mm. If I can pump at high volume I don't use the cone. If I need a very low volume I use a cone were the slits are shorter which results in a smaller diameter.

Ruck,

the cone lasts pretty long and for pumping at high volume I take it off. I've got a Velcro strap which makes it very easy to put it on and off.

Seed,

I don't think a normal end hose with slits will get the result you want. If the cone is attached properly and you don't pump to fast at the start it will stay on the hose. And if there is a block up it's better that the cone comes of then having a release under pressure with an uncontrolled hose whipping around. Therefore I attach it in a way that it stays on the hose under normal conditions but that it comes of the hose in case of a problem whithout causing injury or damage.
