Are there any Saturday afternoon pours anymore?

we are lucky to pump monday-friday

I hope not, I like my days off! We get a few,but let the young guns have them!!

turn'd down this week's saturday night pour down due to another engagement,did last week's....they've been going on for the last 6 month's... good job to have...there for 22:00 sleep till 03:00 do 2 loads wash out go home..brill

Sounds as if your economy is a bit more robust than ours in the southeastern US.

Our commercial work is solid, but our residential work is down 60% from last year. ;~)

not today. holiday weekend and hoof ball, yea ducks just won. well saturdays are on by 9:00 and plant closed by 12:00 so if you run short you are skrewed.  

I have to say last Saturdays pour was the best I'v had in a long time.Pump showed up 20 min early,mud was on time,finishers on time.I guess the best parts were It was my old 34m and the operator had a "can do" attitude.We did 30 yds with one move in 90 min behind a warehouse.Our guys did 33hrs straight prepping and the operator's magic made it all come together.To him "well done".

Saturdays here have not been the same since 9/11 before then it was like a regular day since hardley ever work a saturday plus that big cement shotage kind of put a damper on things but the late 90's it was not uncommon to have 2 jobs on saturday.
