Schwing Question

I cut my teeth on Putz. I never really cared for the looks of a Schwing hopper. I have noticed some Schwings have crossover pipes and some do not. What is the deciding factor for the crossover pipe? Year, model, size? Is there any difference in concrete flow out of the boom?

Thanks,

I'm just the opposite seed, After running Schwings I ran an older Putz with a big ole hopper and have never had to bar so much build-up in my life!

I like thru-pipes vs. pass-overs? Mostly because I've blown more pass-over pipes than any other pipe on the boom.

I have to agree Too Tall. As I think about it the pass through pipe design may be way better than the cross over pipe. Does Schwing favor one over the other?

Well ,this is an easy ??. Through pipes! They make me nervous,so I more diligent ( $5 word) about checking and changing them! You want trouble, try and change a blown deck thru-pipe on a 52m Schwing! I think they would be a NIGHTMARE to pull out of that hole in the frame,so I changed them early ! I think crossovers are too easy ,although most are make-up pieces, which are hard to come by in an emergency.
