A 1.3km long concrete pumping operation carried out by specialist sub-contractor Kelly Formwork on the Crossrail C310 project tunnel is being claimed as a new British record.
Also looks like we worked out a deal with Schwing to be back on ConcretePumping.com it is a little soon to announce it now but I believe it is going to work out. |

We pumped 1.7 km in a tunnel in Niagara Falls and have a 2.1 km push coming up next year. With Schwing equipment. |

As concrete pumpers shouln't we calculate vertical rise into distance pours? That would give the highrise jobs a 3x1 adder for their vertical rises. The Freedom Tower for instance would probably be at lease to 1.5km. |

Very true Doug on verticle pumping. The tricky part is cleaning out all that horizontal line as we don't have the advantage of gravity. |

Good point. I think water is the answer. I'd really like to get away from air and all the wasted expensive concrete. |
