does anyone know why the pump volume is stuck on full like no 11 i cant slow it down . also the radio remote has been sent away for repair but the cable remote is the worst thing ever the boom is just too fast to operate .any answers ? thanx

A pump I had was stuck on full volume too, a couple resistors (in parallel) in the rear control panel off the volume potentiometer cut the signal and gave me the full range from zero to 200 yph. As far as the cable remote, it likely is a B/W remote, so you have to learn the old technique of 'batting' the joysticks.

Theres a good chance the wire remote is set for full flow and full boom speed . Reason being the wire remote is probably uesed only to get you out of the shit as an emergency back up.

Select a lower gear when you put the PTO in should be a lot less aggresive...

The idea of taking a lower gear is a good one! (if this is a pump that should stand in gear while pumping though) I did it to on a pump that was hard to tame. works great. But a too low gear will not work.

Oh,did I forget to mention call Sermac?

I presume they did make the pump and have a support staff

i run the same machine... do you have your auger on when you try to pump? if not try turning it on, my pump's volume control only works if auger control is on, if it's turned off pump goes to full volume, if that doesn't work call rick burnt at sermac 763-772-6732

coil on the volume control valve plug some times corrodes or the coil goes down bad news is you cant get the coil on its own got to buy whole valve £££$$$$$£££! the cable remote is black and white (on-off) bad news if you got to use for a long time not nice what was wrong with radio remote? have repaired quite a few now as we got seven sermacs ive made my own test rig for the radios so i dont have to wait for a pump to come back to test them

murf 09-02-2010

In the control panel you got a card which controls this, shaped a bit like a credit card, they been known to fail , if you have taken it out recently be carefull to reconnect the wire in all the right places, get two wrong and it wont work- it will take you ages to find as well.. Under the hydraulic tank (on a 32/5- so may be different) there is a control valve with an electric plug on it, take it apart , it more than likely will be seized or be full of shite. When did you last change the hyd. oil? The output control is also affected by the hard soft change over switch.

Will still knock spots off certain other makes!!! lol

WHY CALL SERMAC ? OH YES ITS A SERMAC I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT , STILL WAITING FOR A REPLY FROM THEM

PourItOut 09-03-2010

there is a small fuse block,  mine is mounted under the panel on the left side looking at the hopper above the air tanks,, there are 4 fuses, 1 for the horn,1 for the hopper light, 1 for the volume control,   the cable remote is the same as your wireless,,  you'll need to set the boom speeds

I think I know why he is asking here, same problem i had with Sermac, I called and called them and they never got back to me. After many months then i hear from them. They said check is in the mail and it never showed up. Why call Sermac and wait forever when you can just ask on the this message board and get your aswer in just a few min. I would never call Sermac and get treated that way again.

Been waiting 3 weeks for a simple set of filters from putz, and 3 months for transfer box parts from schwing. the only sales guys you ever see are from cifa and sermac.

With everyone reeling from the economy I would probably agree, not in stock,or along those lines. But gimmy a break, somebody can't answer a phone,or return a call from service?

Maybe it's time to revert back to power buggies and wheel barrows.

I think it's probably nothing but it reminds me of when I had a problem on my line pump, it was fine then bam it redlined, couldn't even slow it down at all via remote or manually turns out it had blown a fuse in the control panel, swapped it over and it all went back normal.

Also isn't there like a rule to have a spare radio remote? I have three, I carry two on the truck(one for everyday use and another for spare) and one at home for one of those "just in case" days.

Marko, I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with your remote on the Sermac, unfortunatley as your remote failed the Italians have there annual shut-down which beyond our control, we have loan sets but they are out on loan and are currently being destroyed by careless operators which is another story. We, including me have spoke to yourselves also explainig how to check the flow control and to manage untill your remote unit is returned. Any more info required please call as I've not received a call from you over this matter.

Its funny the best way to get a hold of Sermac is to post a message on this web site. Cracks me up. Well I guess the saying is true any press is good press. One thing is for sure, I do not think it is a good idea to own a Sermac in the USA and I do know a few people that own them.

wow really I only had to get the invoice to the right place and I would of got paid? lol I could not even get a call back. I have never been happy with how Sermac treated me over the years but now that I know how to get paid I am sure things will go better.

Todd 09-08-2010
reply profile send pm notify

Its not a chip, at least I dont think so. We worked out a deal twice both times I did what I said I was going to do and both times they never paid me. Both times it was for an advertisement on this web site. It just seems a bit crazy that we spend a week negotiating and than close on a deal, i do the work and I am told the check is in the mail and it never shows up. If you run Sermacs and like them that is great but I feel like a fool having them screw me twice. I would not recommend anyone deal with them. They have just been a a pain.

It's a shame that 2 particular people on this website are very narrow minded and cannot see pass the blinkers that there are more than two pump manufactures on the market, especially when the pump compnay they slate sponsors the website!
