I'm not a pump operator, but I have been reading your DE hose posts. So I was interested in what exactly happens when a hose whips and I found this video. http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h300/SpeedyCrete/Pumping%20Videos/?action=view¤t=hose5.flv |

http://www.mlln.net/media/hoseWhipGuard.swf found another one, could only imagine what that would feel like, on top of it, with a metal end....LIGHTS OUT! |

While working in Fl. I went to a job, house slab.Hose man refused to work because two years earlyer his brother was killed by an operator from the same company with a hose that had a metal end. After watching me for about 30 minutes he came over and said that i was doing a wonderful job,he then took over the hose and we finished the job.Made me feel real good.I always cut the end off of my hose with a chop saw on the job if i don't have one without, doesn't matter what my boss says.If you want to fire me so be it but i will not hurt some-one,no money is worth it,not to me. |
