Dude, why would you use Slick Wily, if you have to use primer use Fritz-Pak. They sponsor this site and will even send you out a free sample. These guys really care about us and prove it by supporting this site. |

Marcus, I think that the only pump mfg’ that is not a sponsor is Putz. They do not see the need to advertise on the site. They are headed in a different direction. They are in the electronics business, they are the supplier to giants. Putzmeister makes a great machine. They are, today, at the top of the heap. I remember when they were first introduced to this market; when they listened, or at least acted as if they listened, to the operators and mechanics that used their pumps every day. That got them to where they are today. To be fair, they have given Schwing a run for their money. But when Schwing went to the ‘computer cards’ and electronic sensing systems Putz couldn’t wait to join right in. So now we have the two biggest guys on the block fighting the concrete pump version of “Star Warsâ€. Does it make them more dependable? Does it allow the pumpers to charge their customers more because of the electronics? Or does all the electronics get in the way of pumping the concrete? Do the electronics justify the difference in price or are the electronics the justification for the price? Want a computer in your pump? Buy a laptop. Want to know what your pump is doing? Buy concrete pumping specific software for your laptop. In these strained economic times people are paying attention to ‘how much’ as well as ‘where’ their money is going. If a guy can buy a pump for $369,000.00 or buy the same size pump for $435,000.00; which one will he choose? Every year a larger percentage of the pump purchasers are making the $369.000.00 choice. So why doesn’t Putz advertise on this website? Because their biggest customers are going to buy their pumps anyway. They have too much invested in Putz equipment at this point to change now. Advertising here is a waste of money. This website is for everyone else. It is for people that are not owners of 80 or 800 pump fleets. It is for manufacturers that make products for everyone that wants to be in the concrete pumping industry. It is for people that are looking for some advice, for an edge, for a solution to a problem or for a customer or vendor to help them with their daily battle to make a difference. The people that advertise here are the industry leaders; if not today, then tomorrow. Their market share is growing every year. |
