The pic of all that system hanging down the cliff looks pretty scary. How can that work and not flip it over, when the recent 55 goes over and not even below the pump like that.

pink, it works because he's no where near full extension, there isn't much leverage acting on the boom/turret.

That is an old 28 meter Putz and it runs every day even now. We bought it in 1985 and it still runs great. We only had the boom out beyond the front of the cab about 30 ft. or we would not have hung that much hose on it. The funny (or scary) thing about that job was it got plugged in the reducer and when I climbed up to tap it to unplug it I used the hose to help me get up. When we got done with the job I was taking a clamp off the end of the hose by hand and the weld on the end separated away from the hose. The entire weld on the hose end was cold lapped. Needless to say I no longer use the hose for any kind of a safety. we had safety's on it but it still would have been a bit spooky to have had it separate while I was tapping it or climbing up to it. Surprisingly I am much older and much wiser.
