There is a sensor in the hopper that stops the drum when its full.. Realy great if it works.. Of course the one time I borrow a PUMI to do some work at home the sensor doesn't work.. I was inside while the whole load was emptyed on the road..

You know I can get so angry because of that kind of things.. They pack these pumps full of safety and even double safety systems that only irritate us but they can not find some safety on the sensor not working.. Would be nice if they would hire in some realy smart guys that can figure out some real smart stuff on the pumps.

also experienced with a schwing pumi itself once that the sensor was defective.
my boss took care that a tipper with crane came to clean it up.

Hahaha, Dipstick. I have heard many storys from mixerpumpers who have had a dirty sensor and done the same thing on the most crowded street in the centre of Stockholm.

First many 3"-hoses to take care of  -  then the boom  -  then a couple of m3 concrete on the street, and many angry carowners who have driven through the concrete....That can make any pumper as else to get furious and reflect to just leave the pump as it is and change career to be a ticketsalesman in the subway.

I know a few mixertruck-owners who has mounted that sensor to their mixertrucks. When it´s nice weather and they know it will take a good while to pump out their load, they put their mixertruck-sensor in to the hopper.

Then they go away to sit in the sunshine. When the mixer rotate and not stop, they know the mixer is empty and use theyr hooliganhorn. If they forgett to take the sensor away, it doesn´t matter - the sensor is conected to a short cable wich hang down from the mixertruck. It´s a cheap, not a big surgeryoperation 2 cables from the electricbox on the mixertruck, conected to a sensor.
