Do you have any slick line available to you?  Rocks like to tumble through rubber hoses creating more friction thus causing higher pressure...and they slide through pipe---easier push...

I know it's not practical to roll around town with 200' of 3" slick line on a line pump - so I understand why sometimes it's not used.  After reading another post regarding this pour, I know you had some time to plan...so this planning time is where I would've prepared for the job and loaded as much slick line as I could...   if you don't have slick line, I understand that too... you use what ya got. 

I just like to work smarter not harder - even if it's not me doing the work...it's the pump - I still like to make it's job easier.

I'm glad your job was successful.  The concrete contractor, J&S is a good company with a good group of guys to be working with.  They'll help you out if you need it.

my pump is and 2004 putz katt kreter. i do have slick line available, but it's our OLD boom pipe and i don't like it or trust it. i used 3" hose to the top of the hill, reducer in third picture. and to tell you guys the truth my legs still hurt from this job and it's been 4 days.
