Hi all, In India, the stationary concrete pump comes with 3 types of concrete valve, namely S valve, C valve and normal gate valve. I want to know from the forum members, the merits and demerits of each type and their applications. Regards

Good link for S/C-valve: http://www.putzmeister.de/cps/rde/xchg/SID-3C6E00FC-7BCDB7E1/pm_online/hs.xsl/3764_ENU_HTML.htm Gate valves are going to be simple but will not have the output you will need for boom placement in my opinion. I have used S and C valve setups and I really do prefer S-Valve. It will push a much more aggressive mix design better and faster than a C valve. It is also much easier to clean. Quote Putz on S-Valve: "Whereever extremely stiff and highly abrasive mixes are encountered this system is used." So, in my opinion, I like the S but you really should look at the application and parts availability in your area. |
