Sandy, that is low rates compared to what we get here in the Panhandle of Florida for a line pump. Average is 90.00 an hour/1 hour travel/3 hr min./5% fuel surcharge/ and a yardage rate as well. ;) |

I dont know of any companys in tampa that charge 50.00 an hour Mullins used to charge 55.00 an hour with two hr min years ago but they have went up to 70 with a 2 hr min and a travle charge for pasco and hillsborrogh, ESI used to charge 160 for 2 hrs and 60 an hour after that. CPDI has been 80 an hour for years. There may be a couple of independent guys out there that charge 50.00 an hour but I truly dont see hou you could do that and stay in business. I would like to see the rates go to what you have above stated. I think you have to look at what the contractor is getting for his money, If you have the typical no talent drug addic loser running a 1978 mayco pulled behind a 86 2wd f-150 who shows up late wering cut off shorts and flip flops (Typical florida small line operator) He is late because the dispatch over booked or his truck broke down. then the contractor is not gonna want to pay squat. But if your operator shows up on time with nice clean equiptment, dressed to work (long pants, steel toe boots, shite tucked in, hard hat at the ready) with the right tools to do the job and a good attitude. then the contractor is going to be willing to pay a little more because we all beleve in you get what you pay for.My .02JeffJeffConcrete aint for sissys! This message was edited by pumper on 4-9-06 @ 6:52 AM |
