whats the process of sucking a bucket when cleaning up?

I do it just to clean my hose when I'm on the street and can't make a mess. I fill up a 5 gal bucket, put it in and put it in reverse till the water is gone, then turn it off and raise it nice and slow as the water comes out. I do it about 3 times, and it's nice and clean.

blow boom, fill 5 gallon bucket with water, stick tip hose in bucket and suck backwards, stuff ball in hose immediately after sucking water out of bucket, place hand over end of hose to control your ball, wait for good suction and take hand off of hose listen for water and ball to go through 6-5 reducer

Get a trash can. Have one of the mixer drivers fill it up or you can. When your done pump all your concrete out then throw it in reverse. Put your tip hose in the trash can and suck all the water back wide open. You can hear it come back through the boom. You may have to pick the hose out of they water a few times. Listen in your hose for the valve shifting or look for the air bubbles in the hopper and your all good. You can put your sponge in if you want but don't need to. I love sucking a bucket. It gets the pipe really clean and the concrete really wet. Easy wash out.

Very nice but you realy should use a ball too! It leaves a lot of rock and shit behind if you don't. Maybe not at all jobs but some they you get f'cked....

If you bucket wash and your deck pipe doesn't ring true, don't freak out! You've only washed over the top of the concrete, NOT separated it! Now put water in the tip elbow and your sponge, and pull it back! I do all three washes, depending on what's available! And I have had problems with ALL of them at one time or another, and I've yet to bring back a dirty boom. Keep your cool.

I don't understand how anyone can actualy think that you get all your pipes totaly clean everytime by just sucking back 5 galons of water but hey.... Just go for it mate :-) If it makes you happy that you don't have to use 15 seconds on pushing a spunge after it..

I suck a bucket every day, (unless the situation calls for a sponge) and my pipes are absolutely clean. If you don't like this method, don't do it. But don't tell me i'm wrong or it's a bad method cuz you will be wrong (for me and my situation)

well as of now i suck 2 sponges an a 5 gallon bucket of water in between an it works great but seems sucking a bucket would be easier..but it seems to me that by just sucking water u could segergate it pretty easy an i wouldnt think that sucking a 5 gallon bucket would be enough but i dunno..would it work if i put in a sponge then sucked the bucket?

2 spunge and water is ofcourse perfect but i always do just water first then a ball. Im medium lazy you know ;-)  I'd say first water then spunge.. not the other way round. But that's just me..

this is the size of bucket i use. suck half way down then raise hose out so it sucks air then suck up the rest of the water. works every time. if in doubt then suck a sponge.

No matter if you use a bucket or the whole water truck. If you put a sponge in the tip hose and then set it in a bucket of water. It will always suck the water up before the sponge. I do not use 2 sponges because the first one back gets cut and the boss does not like buying that many sponges.....For me, one wet sponge in a plastic bag works perfect.

exactly Too Tall, clean as a whistle every time, fastest easiest way to clean, but don't do it if you don't want to. To each his own.

looks pretty simple might give it a try..an i dont have any trouble chopping the sponges cause i have a primer port pin that i can push down when i suck back that way it stops the balls
