Could you expand on what your site says. I have used slick packs and was not very impressed once the weather got super hot. Then I tried some portland, which I only use if needed. I got some Slick Willy from the place we get hoses, and hot damn does that lube it all up. Just dump a pack in half hopper of water while its in reverse warming up and she is ready to go. And for $170 for 50 packs and a bucket with a lid(extremely hard to find on a job, and their always getting stolen) their pretty cheap too. Bit hell I'm up for trying something new and if it works well and is comparable in price, you will.see me again.

Liquid sounds good. I always get lots of clumbs when mixing slick pack. I hate mixing that stuff. |

I used to mix primer in a pail then pour into the prime port I made.(trailer pump) Kinda of got lazy mixing in a bucket,so I started letting the pump mix in reverse. Seems to prime out just as well. What do most of you guy,s do most.Mix in a bucket or let the pumpmix, then pump it ahead of the mud? |

Our customers mix Super Primer in the hopper and run in reverse. They have told us that is the quickest and easiest way to mix the primer. |

When I prime the boom with the pumpcrete slick pack on the standard size rock valve, I always just dump the entire package in, fill the hopper just above the rock with water, run pump in reverse a few strokes, then pump forward. Get the one cylinder all the way up right before it shifts then have the mixer load the hopper directly on top of the rockvalve. It falls over, pushes the prime into the cylinder and when all the prime pushes up I shift the rock.. since the one cylinders all the way up its simply one second in forward, put it in neutral. Have the mixer fill the hopper up all the way and prime out. Hasn't failed me yet. (crossing my fingers :D) |
