anyone have wanting to share tips/tricks for getting swivel gaskets to seal nicely and not leak. Seems like on all our 4 section Z booms the swivel gasket between section B and C has a tendency to leak. Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated. |

For a quick cheap solution. Open the clamb, put some ductape around the gasket and close the clamb again. Maybe use a hammer ;-) I've seen 2 different rubber gaskets. One with sharp edges on the outside (or on the 'top' if you like) one with a bit rounded edges. Make sure you have the one with the sharp edges. |

First confirm the alignment on the pipeline joint is corect. If the pipeline is out of alignment the clamp and seal will wear out fast. I got a sugestion from a student in a class, instead of filling the gasket with grease he fills his with silicone, it gets semi solid and wont wash out with the concrete so soon. He loved it. |
