Is anyone here familiar with the tax laws for pump rental in NJ? We've been charging tax for years (pump portion not on labor) and more and more customers are saying laws have changed. Despite many efforts to get an understandable answer from the State we are stumped for answers.

Further any information on purchase and resale of pumps would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

How does this pump rental thing go? Do you rent pumps to pump companys that need another pump? Or do you rent a pump and the operator?

Both if I understand you correctly, but always with one of our operators. To clarify we rent our pump and an operator to most customers, but some customers who own their own pump and need another one rent ours with one of our operators as well.
