Got some new skirts for the concrete hopper, but it's not sealing correctly at the bottom (towards tires). Can anyone tell me if the small flap in the center goes on the inside or the outside of the skirts? I'm thinking this may be the problem, just want to see if im right |

I figured so. I got it fixed anyhow. I had my rollers at the hopper in wrong position. it holds water now without leaking so I know it will hold concrete! thanks for the help terry |

More info: The first hopper u-roller goes close to the tail pulley, inside the v-scraper. The second goes just after the v-scraper. The third goes in before the discharge. The first standard u-roller goes just after the discharge. You need the support so the weight of the concrete doesn't force the belt away from the skirts. When tensioning the 105 feeder, the end frame and hopper move, but the rollers don't. Tension the belt, then hit the and frame top sides, with a hammer, to break loose grout that causes false readings. After tensioning, draw the feeder hinges all the way up. This makes the belt very loose and it's easier to move the u-rollers. Caveat: DO NOT use used belting for skirts. When the cover wears off, the fabric cord threads grout up. The cords then act as a rasp that scrapes the cover off the belt. Use rubber that has no fabric. Gum rubber works well, but doesn't like UV. Putzmeister surrently uses urethane sheeting. It's costly, but wears extremely well. |
