after arguing w/ the job super for about 10 min. and providing him with a generaror for his other workers to have power i  KILLED the power lines personally, so NO worries guys

             Hi Toper !

Could you locked the powerswitch ? So nobody else switch it on again when you where pumping ? No bashing just wonder , it is not so fun if the power come back when the boom is that close to the powerline .

no the power  box had no way to lock it but was parked about 20' from it and kept an eye on it , and there was only about 5 poeple  other than us on site, mostly landscapers ,but i aprreciate the heads up

If those are after the transformer rubber coated. I would think it is safe. You can touch the rubber three wire. I think even if it shorted its only 240 volts? What do you guy's think about booming over this type wire?

I reshingled a roof last week in so. FL, an apartment building with a mansard roof. I rented a man lift to ride on and do the shingling. There was the service right in the way. I touched it, moved it and reshingled around it. Rubber coated two hots and a ground twisted together. I wouldn't even consider getting near a bald high voltage wire, but this was 240 coated wire. As far as pumping around them? I own a line pump for those jobs.
