There are a few of here that know that drill very well.Once this industry is in your blood it will never leave. In these hard times it's good just to put food on the table.Get through the rough spots and when the economy changes you can then look at it better.Besides that we all need friends in this business, old and new. |

I've done my share of jumping from pasture to pasture to know that sometimes the grass really is greener on the other side of the fence. Especially in the over run fields of today. I have lately made my green by cutting cord wood and driving a limo on weekends to make ends meet. But it never fails, before too long I find a pump to hang my hard hat in. Sometimes the pump even finds me? Cheer up dude, instead of "Thanks for the memories" and fare well... Change your tune a little? How bout "We'll see you all in the spring or summer, in the days of greener pastures"? If this happens to be your first attempt at "leaving the industry Forever"... You'll know what we're talking about on your third attempt! Whether its the switch on a remote box, a grease gun or a gas pump I still say... Pump On! |

im not to down about it. but i will miss the the cold windy days. lonly nights of eating warmed up dinner cus the wife and kids ate 5hrs ago. ill even miss the frozen hands feet and every thing else that freezes,no i wont!! if i could only find a remote to operate that gas pump id be a lot happier. but the one thing ive lerned over the years is some times you must swollow your pride suck it up and just do what you have to. no job i dont care what it it is worth your family!! on a personal note to thank those old timers who have made that sacrifise. id like to thank Ken,steve, waren, chester, lewis, johny, all of witch are the true meaning of a pump operator. |
