tommy,

when and where were those pics taken? it looks like luchts old 61m.

bri or 65 petee,

what do you prefer in big booms, putzmeister, schwing, or concord. I would say putz. or who ever else wants to chime in.

Concords are sweet but I've always liked the roll 'n fold configuration of a Putz or Schwing like the first picture. But then again an RZ takes up alot less booming area?.. Concord's my favorite pump overall, big or small...

hey dave and brian you could just have a 38z mounted 12 stories in the air and climbing.........

tommy,

do you guys still have that pump?

everybody,

whats the best and worst pump that you've run. best for me being either p or s 47m (very stable, small foot print, a lot boom for the size). worst being p40z (to much bounce and not stable)

I've got a few "worst pumps" on my list but the winner of my worst pump award goes to the old 5 section 52 trailer mount Putz! Second place would have to be the 3 section 36 Putz (the scud missle launcher). Third place goes to a Schwing8000, only because of the long days of watching a pressure gauge waiting for it to rip a pipe in half !

If I'm going to pump a 1000+yds. in a matte pour I'll take a Schwing. If I'm going to walk a guy around a 200yd. wall I'll take any Concord that'll reach.

Concords are smoothies but they'll have to be around 20 more years to gain my confidence of the reliability of Schwing. Schwings are like hammers and they just keep hammering.......and hammering!

I remember when the 52 trailer hit Hotlanta. I was sure that it was the biggest that would ever be. The operator could turn corners that no truck mount could touch.

And the 36 rocket launcher was way cool. You could start to pump as soon as the main was up. No time lost slewing all the way around to the front. ;~)

Bob, I'm sure they were bad-boys in their days of new but I had ran those animals after running some newer pumps. I can imagine what that 5sec.52 was like in her day. I just remember doing my first walk around on it and going back into the shop to ask where the hell all the gear was (pads, dunnage, hoses etc.) I was slack-jawed when they pointed out the 1ton pilled high with timbers and tool boxes full of hammers HA,Ha,ha. I am still greatful for the experience......I think?

all i know is that Concords rock!

schwputz 12-30-2008

concords are nice pumps but their a lot like a putz. I would say that the bad part to a concord would be the weight. They are very heavy. I had a 47m that was 96,000. Remember if your going to say Concord is a good pump you have to put KCP in the same conversation.

I went out on the 52m trailer mount when it came in with Big Rick "17 is Cadillacing" The boom was nice. The only prob was when we were driving to the job up a steep street the tractor kept on doing wheel stands. I bet it looked cool from outside. And Dave u may never run the BEAST again I will be cleaning her up for a year after what u did to her. Or I will just take out your backwards remote 65 and return the favor----pump on

schwputz, That must've been a while ago, they've reduced alot of weight in the last few years or so? I've got no problem saying that both Concord and KcP are great machines. Though I've yet to hang my hat in a KcP the few that I've got my hands on have been sweet hearts! Then again I also think that Elbas were superior in their day. If they were still in the States they would also be listed as a top favorite!

KCP, Concord...shoot, thems high dollar big boy machines.

I wouldn't know how to turn one on - so I'll stick with 'ol Brownie.

You the man, Jed.

Looks pretty good for a 7 year old machine. It is a 2001, right?
