Soft ground, maybe they are 10 ft fully outrigged straight down in the clay.

This is a good example of the aftermath, the end of the paper trail.Excluding what the operator did,or didn't do,or even the tow truck driver.I do believe an insurance claim was made, affecting everyone,a final chapter if you will.

I not so sure all these pumps tipped over. I think they are pictures of different types of accidents. Was your point outriggers or just everyday stupidity. The one ORANGE one looks like it might have run into something.

Actually pictures 8 and 9 look like another big boom with a lot of rear boom overhang might have backed into those other pumps.

I dont know about the other pumps but those last pictures of the cherokee 28 meter may offend some people. The man driving it was killed in that accident in Savannah, Ga. last year.

That's so sad.The pic's I posted are from truck salvage yards,a reminder that outriggers aren't the only thing that affects a days work.People make mistakes,I know that, does everyone else?A companies safety people can weed out agressive drivers, careless operators and the results will be better.Perhaps I have just seen so much in reguards to all kinds of accidents

The first was a roll over I believe. Had a rearend problem and drug it off in the ditch. He is in a wheelchair now. No operator error if that's the truck.

I'm not going to get into it with anybody you all have your own opinion. I just hope everybody thinks about what they say when they post, or remark about a picture.

Again I looked at the first picture. If it was in transit it would have been folded up. I only see 1 section basicly standing straight up with only 1 section showing. Something to think about.

that rollover is down in south louisiana , sofffft ground water table 2-3 inches below ground level outriggers are completely in the ground offside was not out any per manufacturer specifications, but yes its still operator error, should have had mats may have helped.

Im no detective but to me this looks like another case of putting the outriggers in with the boom straight up in the air.... In the first picture the main was definitely straight up along with the rest of the boom. and manufacturer spec says the front must be all the way in or out not the rear and most guys would at least pull it out of the locks. had the boom been stretched out there is no way the pump would have went all the way on its side like that, the boom would have caught it first.

the boom is also spun around to the back of the pump like he had put the sponge in and stood the boom up. Maybe he poured something we dont see in the pic and was finishing up. Some of my competitors had a few incidents like that happen a few years ago.

The first picture is really odd. From the looks of the top of the outriggers it's a schwing 47 meter.

the boom looks like it was striaght up in the air  the way it's positioned and also the back bend is open too..... the legs would of kept it up if they  were out .. just  a thought... if he'd got the ball back my standing the boom up then someone came a long and messed is routine up ( pulled the legs in early ) there's an accident waiting to happen... we've all been there..

FunnyBoom 04-29-2012

I'd say that's exactly what happened Cat
