I used to dread the Friday after turkey day! It used to be the day everyone wore coveralls and went home greasy. The day that brakes got done and whiper seals (donuts) got replaced on the gate-valves. The day that boom-pipe was turned, elbows were flopped and piston heads were swapped. Thank dog for technology! Once on this very day, I seen a line-pump operator remove his sock without having to take off his shoe!...How you ask? while cleaning clamps with a wire-wheel on a portable grinder. He had one foot on the clamp and the wire-wheel grabbed his sock...faster than you could blink POOF! off came the sock with the shoe still on foot! It was like a magic trick, Laughed till I cried!! |
