Just got back from christmas vacation in Mexico. We visited four different states, and saw lots of 'interesting ' things. The thing that amazed me was the amount of work going on. While in the city of Saltillo, I counted 13 (thirteen) new bridges under construction. And on the news (and my spanish aint great but) they said they are trying to counter the economic crisis by building 4500 kilometers of new highway. I also saw lots of highrise construction going hard too. Only saw a few pumps, only driving and not working and the same colors as mixer trucks, I'm assuming not too many owner operators. Some tourist eh!!! wife and kids are buying souvenirs and I got the binoculars on the nearest highrise looking for a pour!!! Say what you want about mexico, but theyre pourin crete and we're slowin down |

With only a chance answer, here it goes. Imagine a state owned oil company (PEMEX)? Then factor in NAFTA? In a not to recent event which involved lots of money.I personally pumped on this project at Beaver Creek, not far from Pres.Fords home. Sergio Bolaños, fronted a 27-company industrial empire for the union, and profited enough from running La Quina's businesses to make the highest offer — in cold cash — for the Government's stake in Mexicana de Aviación, one of the two flagship airlines being privatized. Mexican authorities have found Bolaños to hold foreign real-estate worth about $84 million, including a castle in France and a lavish compound in Vail, Colorado. When an elite Mexico City school denied his daughter entry, Bolaños bought it. So who's counting? |
