o and as far as those reeds, they are simple to work on, if you do your on mantainace, hard pumping ,money makers. i've never been disapointed with any reed i ve owned  . life expectancy.........i can't say, im just an owner/operator, had one that went 9856 hrs once, engine still ran but needed a hydraulic pump, some lines replaced, just small stuff.

Just  remember that any machine pushed  too hard can break parts, overheat the hydraulic oil and the pump cartridges could be shot after one job. An old well maintained machine can be better than a not so old thrashed unit

Call Earl Baulk in Sarasota.  He's our pump guy for pump related stuff.  I know he has some pumps for sale, or may know of one.  I have a 2012 Reed A40HP and its great.  As long as they are taken care of, they will run forever.  Service early and dont skimp on parts just because it cost a few bucks more.  Thomas Machinery in Tampa is our system supplier.  They sell pumps too.  Great folks to work with.

I relooked at the pump today the water box is filled with grout. I stuck my hand in the cylinder and felt a little scoring. My friend Carl Ericsson basically told me its to risky bc new cylinders could be about 5 grand... Any input?? It could just be cups but a lot of risk? For 16k.   Any thoughts greatly appreciated
