Hi Everyone, I'm new to this site - actually i'm new to forums so I hope you'll go easy on me! I run a small pumping company here in the UK, I only have two old pumps at the moment, a Putzmeister Thom-Katt TS2050 (1998) which is mounted on to the back of a little truck, and a Putzmeister M24-4 Multi Z, BRF1408. That is on a Mercedes chassis. My problem at the moment is sourcing parts for the Thom-katt. I need to rebuild all the wearing parts and more in the hopper. Basically I need a new S-Tube, new wear rings, new seals, new shaft bearing kit. You name it, if it's a moving part or related to a moving part it needs replacing! I have managed to get a quote from Putz UK, who are dealing with Putz USA but the quote is big big money. Does anyone out there know of any other companies who supply good quality parts the Thom-Katts? Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys, and happy pumping!! Rich. |

I have asked twice about the source of s-tubes like reed or mayco with no answer mostly because we are just operators. the person that knows will not comment a proprietary product built in china and deliver a hundred at a crack. so Dixon couplers will not sell to me as not being a dealer and I have been told many times I could not have a hydraulic hose coupling machine fundamentaly from not having specific insurance to cover the liability. now grainger has the same product haha there is a way around. but you would have to couple hos regularly for years to recover the cost. hard to win unless you have a friend in the business that does not need to make money. |
