Old Thomsens are great. They'll keep running as long as you keep them up. I kinda giggled when you used the words Thomsen and harsh mix in the same thought. As long as harsh mix means: 3/4 round rock or pea gravel, you'll be just fine.

barron I have no idea, but somehow i'm a sucker for the old Thompsons.Over the years the sleepless nights working on them for the next day, wow.I have to say I made more $$ with the 875 than should be allowed. It takes a different mindset with these machines.Watch the sunstrand and change the belts regularly.Have a strong right foot and learn how to bang rods. Good luck

I have pumped with Thomsen's for many years. I have pumped 10000's of yards with them. It's true that they aren't the best harsh mix pump but they are great for doing residential stuff. I have a 32 Meter thomsen that I am trying to sell. It is in the Idaho area. Email me at tiff_hastings@yahoo.com if you are interested. |

its a pump in Oregon, have not seen it yet...I needed it yesterday, 200 ft of line primed out 12 strokes in the job and....tink, swing shift bracket blew in half....and an hour and a half from my place....spent the rest of the day machining a new one...I still love this job |
