I just found out today that our local r/m company is paying its drivers who bring me mud 7 dollars an hour more than I make!! I don't post often but, this really burns my arse! Maybe we do need a union!! |

That's a shame considering the amount of responsibility we have as operator's. They just drive...not saying its easy but we have to be Operators, Mechanics, Sales reps, Know our crete and mixes, Drivers, and work stupid hours with very little sleep and also handle our personal and family lifes! And be responsible for very expensive pieces of equipment. I think as a whole we are all underpaid...but what can u do? "I should get paid like a Dr. Cuz im surgical when I operate" lol I think thats how one of our members Who?? Put it. |

Agreed. It is kind of a joke that Redi Mix drivers get paid more than pump operators do! |

being paid less then mixers is bull shit. do yourself a favor and switch to mixer from my experience being union didn't do a thing for me. im in industrial, non union and payed a buck less then union guys. just no pension per hour (which wont be there any ways if i make it to pension age) |

What if you do live longer than 65 that Union pension will look preety good every body say's I can save on my own but that rarly happens better talk to someone that has one. |
