Anyone have much experience with a 07 TK 30 line pump? I,m a Scwing guy but am considering one for a second line pump. I think 30 YDS an hour is fine for flat work at least most jobs. The TK 30 has more face pressure than my 305 and should work great for shot crete if needed. Its a little heavy for a 30 yarder but looks to be heavy duty. Or should i look for a SP 500? Thanks

Shwings and putz are both awesome, a shwing 500 or a tk50 would make a perfect trailer pump... Putz are slightly easier to wash out and work well with plenty of grease.. Schwings seem to be more heavy duty and last longer but both great pumps

are you going to be pumping a lot of rock? Grout?

I've never seen a 305 pumping, can it pump 1 inch rock?

Thanks, Yeah i pump 3/4" minus with my 305 and love it. For a light weight pump it is unbeiievable. I've owned one since 09 and have probably pumped 10,000. Yards through it. It owes me nothing! Just thought i could use a little more pressure for shot crete. I need another pump for my kid to make some money :)

I've got a tk50 and love it. A tk 30 might be a little slow on thicker pads but anything less that 6 inches thick it should keep up to most placers. Are you looking at the tk30 on eBay right now?

Yeah it looks pretty good. But im just kicking tires. I've got a lot of line jobs coming up it would be nice to have a back up.  A TK 40 or bpa 500 might suit me better I pump pole barns and some comercial 50yd plus jobs. Even if they don't use the volume at least you have the capability. Shot crete is not so bad, when your standing by the pump making 175.HR all day!

The tk30 has a different flat pack than a tk40.  It has 6"-5" reducing cones at the end of the barrels (have to wash out regularly during shotcrete jobs or you'll get a floating plug of hardened material at the hopper end of the barrel) and the S-tube reduces from 5-4". It'll do 3/4 stone, but the smaller s-tube will cause you problems every now and then with tough 3/4"stone mixes (picture a 5-4 reducer with a couple bends in it).  I also think they are about 40hp, so you won't be knocking off anything too fast.

They are a great pump for very small jobs with small line or grouting

I have owned a 305 for 7 plus years . Late in 2013 I expanded bought another pump and hired on an operator. I am in business to turn a profit, period. Brand loyalty means little to me. I did all the research ran all the numbers, and wound up with a new brand new 500. Regrets... ya right. The 500 for me is a great fit.

Yeah i've come to the same conclusion Schwing 500 would be the best fit for me. Problem is that in the down turned economy there are very few late models for sale that are any good. They didn't make many the last 5 years. I'm going to look for a couple year old SP 500 if anyone knows of any.

Hi ED, yeah its been the coldest in years. No, i did however pull my fish house out new years eave just before dark, and i couldn't get my propane heater going. It was -25 and i think the propane was too cold or my diaphram was stuck. Anyway i've been so busy this year the "Honey do list is huge!" I'm going to Florida tomorrow to pick up my new used awsome LTZ pickup (09 model) I bought last month and drive it back. You can't get a good used pick up here, the salt roads are a killer!
