24Z boom with 16 cell pump kit, 60ft. of hose.. went really well for the most part but slowed right down for the last couple cubic meters, hopper/s-tube buildup was significant even after some high voulme recirculation for before pumping out.

Damn man, looks like a good job but the hopper and your barrels look like they may need sum attention. (lol)  I put an air outlet rite next to my hopper so that when i need to do sum chipping on the hopper i can just use my air hammer instead of my bar.  Sure saves on time.  Among other things.

I always pack an air chisel for shotcrete jobs.. it actually washed out fairly easy despite how it looks... hopper washed out with water pressure only (thanks to a layer of sand in the bottom and a spray of Vegetable oil at the start of the day)

That Vegetable oil you mentioned works better than any petro based stuff IMNSHO. Enviro friendly too.

16cell...helpful hint.... hit your interrupt button every 10 minutes. This will cure your build up prob in the s tube trust me. Break her loose baby it only takes a sec. I do slow small line jobs off the end of my boom all the time. Never have build up in it.

Shotcrete is a high cement content, low rock content, low slump mix. generally you're reduced down to 2". The mud seems to crowd down to whatever you're smallest size is no matter what. I'm not familiar with what the disturb button does, can you elaborate, bri?

sweet pxts mate just put a piece of timber up the s tube then let it change over, build up gone.

I love the slow lazy days of shotcreting, but hate the clean-out. I use grease on the corners and the usual set-up spots in the hopper to aid washing.

Nice pictures :). Kinda scary only using one out-rigger though. I would personally never do that. Looks like it was fun though!

1 leg? i can see 4 feet down.

lol. okay. got to a job, dont extend the out riggers.. just put the hydrolics down. See what happens.

the back outriggers drop straight down on that particular machine, and although only one front outrigger is extended the boom was kept well within the manufacturers short-rigged working range... tough to see in the photo, but the pump is also setup on a slight grade towards the working side to keep as much weight as possible over the fully extended outriggers... it's definitely nice have the outriggers on the non-working side fully extended whenever possible, but working within the downtown core it is not always an option.

right. I actually didn't realize what model it was. lol.. sorry, I'm used to seeing X Style out-riggers. I feel stupid now. :)

hey mate it has x style legs to.

wibau, I think what he is referring to is X outriggers that use swing out style legs on the back... don't sweat it mister perkins, it seems that most anytime a picture is posted of a 24 or 28 Putz. (which use drop down outriggers in the rear) someone makes the same point... can see how it would be deceiving if you were not familiar with either of these machines... Perhaps we should first ask questions before making accusations when people post pics, after all, the reason we are here is to learn and exchange information/ideas with each other... right???

hey cell i know what he was talking about, am just a little over people assuming and not asking, that why i was a little blunt with my answers. we are all here to learn. love your stuff Mr Cell
