Not only did I get a resonse, but from a friend I haven't seen in 15 years.A small world it is.

This machine was built for a drilling company that had a huge amount of caisson work. It allowed them to fill the caissons and not tie up the crane and add congestion to the working area. It is in great working order I have been involved with the company since it purchased the machine.

As Paul Harvey would say,the rest of the story.

I just got this email

Mr. Bullis,

I learned concrete pumping by the seat of my pants in the early 70s. I owned and operated several concrete pumps through the mid 80s until I moved on to other endeavors. I discovered concretepumping.com this past Fall when I began researching information for my son. Occasionally, I find myself dropping back in to look at what's new in concrete pumping from your members' perspective. I have nothing but the highest respect for the people that keep doing concrete pumping day after day, many whom I recognize on your website.

I spotted something today about an unusual concrete pump that you were interested in, under the discussion thread "Todd,a little late but I found out. hehehe " I thought you might be interested in some additional information.

This machine was designed by several people associated with A. H. Beck Foundation Company in response to a specific need to fill deep drilled shafts in very tightly constrained locations. I can also tell you that we had a heck of a time getting the 5" hose and reel to work, and that the names of the other contributors to the project slip my mind now. You can image how amazed I was to see a commercial version of that machine selling for $250000 on the Internet.

You might want to check out A H Beck @ http://www.ahbeck.com/english/equipment.htm  for some additional information. They are quite an innovative and exceptional company. I'll bet they can give you a complete history on the project.

You have done a remarkable job helping to open up the concrete pumping industry and giving your hard working members a forum to speak and share information. Your contribution is very valuable. Keep up the excellent work.

Regards,
Les Murphy
