Off topic but on point. The following is just my personal opinion.

I am no more satisfied with this administrations give-away of taxpayer’s money than I was of the last administrations give away of taxpayer’s money. I don’t think that they even have the legal right to do this.

As far as I am concerned it is like trying to give water to a 233 year old tree by spraying it on the top leaves.

I don’t care if the banks that were too stupid or greedy or whatever make it or not. I don’t care if AIG makes it or not and I sure as hell don’t care if the auto makers live or die.

I do care about the people of this country. If we really must save a bank or an auto company to take care of the real America [the people] then by all means lets get them saved. Most of America is employed by small and medium sized companies. This is what makes or breaks our economy; this is where the generator is, not on Wall Street.

If we are all honest with ourselves we can admit that the most important thing to any and all politicians of all parties is TO GET REELECTED, not to serve their constituents. Add to that where these fair-weather friends get their money to run their reelection campaigns; from the same companies that are now being showered with OUR MONEY.

Somewhere in this country there must be some non-political, private citizens that can get us out of this mess. If this is not true then we are screwed because the politicos don’t care ½ a hoot about you and me.

The fat cats will get fatter and the grandchildren of your children will still be paying the bill.

As for your pumping company? Every man for himself; everybody into the life boats, women and children first. You hard ass feminist can stay on the sinking ship with the rest of us, we are glad for the company.

Exactly on point Mr.Bob,although most of the people in this wonderful place we live in called the United States,spend too much time with their nano-idods stuck half way up their ear canal to really give a rats a-s.These so-called political leaders will lead the vast majority of these "sheeples" any where they want,and most won't have a clue how they got there.

Having the advantage of the continued presence of my 93 year old father to give me a bit of a hint as to what happens next............... I can tell you that the greater majority of those folks won't have the financial werewithal to support those habits they so enjoy today. Unless "We the People" are allowed to work for wages and support our own families we are in for a rough ass ride as a nation.

I would like very much to be completely wrong about where we are headed.
