On my 1990 32M schwing, It has a reg. elbow that comes out of the turret then it connects to another piece before it connects to the next elbow. My question is can i replace that elbow with a 36M elbow and eliminate that "extend-a-piece"???????? |

Why do you want to do this? I don\'t know the answer, but I\'d start with looking at the clamps and brackets to see if it would effect anything. |

When the elbow goes through the turret it doesnt quite come out, so the clamp that connects it to the piece before the next elbow is partially in the turret. and its a real pain to put in. A boom inspector for schwing suggested the idea, but i thought i would check |

as long as the reg 90 elbow plus the cross through pipe measure out the same as the one peice, you elbow will swivel on the stand pipe and the cross through will swivel were it connects to your next elbow. |

How can i find out the measurments of a 36M elbow, so i can compare them to my elbow and extend a piece. |

just becareful b4 u change the elbow to the longer one because it is pretty tight just to get the regular 90 in the turret u might find it very hard to get the longer one
